HISTORY

The “Tree Of The Elephants” is an ancient plant with a long history in South Africa. Many parts of the tree are used in traditional medicine.

The marula fruit, which ripens from January to March, is known for its very high vitamin C content. Marula Oil from the kernels is highly nutritious and light textured. It consist of oleic acid, linolec acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid and alpha-linolenic acid.

FUN FACTS

The locals utilised every part of the marula tree for a multitude of purposes. The fruit skin serves as a natural crop fertiliser, while the bark finds its place in traditional medicine.

The oil extracted from the fruit kernel is highly valued in cooking and as an ingredient in beauty products. Once the fruits are de-seeded, crushed, and fermented, they give rise to a popular alcoholic beverage known as Amarula Liquor.

The Marula Oil I use is not only organically grown, but also falls into the "wild harvested" category. In other words, the oil is derived from fruits of wildly growing trees in Southern Africa.

SKIN AND HAIR BENEFITS

Organic, cold pressed Marula Oil is naturally soothing, fast-absorbing and a long lasting moisturiser. It contains powerful antioxidants, hydrates at the deepest levels and repairs the skin from within. It can also help to heal and reduce scars. Marula Oil is a potent source of nutrients that rejuvenates the appearance of your skin and boosts its cellular activity.

DIRECTIONS

Skin

Massage 1-2 drops of this remarkable oil directly into your facial skin and allow it to gently be absorbed. Your entire body can be nourished with Marula Oil.

Beard

Marula oil makes a superb treatment for facial hair. Simply apply a few drops onto your pristine skin or use it as a post-shave indulgence.

"If you prefer blending it into your daily skin care cream I recommend creating your own homemade organic cream base- on my Youtube channel or on my TUTORIAL page, you can find tips and tricks on how to. Conventional products are often packed with micro plastic and preservatives (to only name a few) which can leave a film on your skin which makes it hard for your skin to absorb the natural oils properly."

Ideal for:

  • dehydrated skin

  • mature skin

  • sensitive skin

  • nourishes dry and cracked lips, cuticles, elbows, heels

  • beard oil

  • pregnancy oil

  • make up remover oil

  • tattoo aftercare skin oil

  • suitable for women, men and children

Extra Tip

Organic Marula Oil makes a great natural make-up remover! All you need is warm water and cotton pads or a cloth. Here is how I like to do it:

Wash your face with warm water and natural soap. Put 2 pumps or more on the cotton pad and remove make up as usual. Take off the residues until you can´t spot any leftover make up.

After you can wash your face with mild soap, preferably handmade soap without additives. Then gently massage 2-3 drops of oil into the damp facial skin.
